IN THE DIFFUSER & MY HEART

Hello and thanks for stopping by on my first post. Its a bit exciting really!

I’m a late blooming mummy to 2 little boys and I love essential oils!

I’ve been using essential oils my whole life.. literally! I just didn’t realise until later on when I started to develop my own collection of essential oils outside of my basic go to’s of Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree. Those were oils my Mum always had handy and we were sent to school sick in those days with hankies soaked in eucalyptus oil! You think that It would have given me a bad memory reaction to so much Eucalyptus but I think deep down I knew it was not only soothing my symptoms but healing me.

I’ve started this blog as my love for essential oils has grown over the years and I’ve found myself using them for cleaning and healing, for stress relief and rest, for gifts and for beautiful bathing and most of all to make my home smell like a spa every day.

Unlike chemical filled candles you can create a plant based scent for every mood, every job to be done, every motivation in your life and you can do it cleanly and safely for you and your family’s health and wellbeing. Essential Oils assist you at a cellular level to sleep, to heal and to be happy and healthy. I love them and I love discovering lots of new blends and combinations to fill my home with.

I’ve teamed up with some lovely UK brands to share with you the oils I love and to create handy packages to suit your mood and get you started using essential oils.

The brands that I’ve teamed up with have a commitment to ethical products, fair trade and good working conditions for any of the suppliers, artisans and craftspeople who they purchase goods from in countries and areas like India, China SE Asia and the middle east. This is really important to me and I’ll be featuring them in my blog posts soon.

So what’s in my diffuser today. Well, we had a little bit of an Autumn clean up today, as much as you can with 2 youngsters but we needed something fresh and uplifting to help us complete the task and add the fragrant icing on the cake, so we diffused a blend of Lime, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Peppermint Essential Oils which really lifted our spirits while working hard in the house. When we’d finished the house just smelled super extra fresh and we enjoyed just being there for the rest of the afternoon. When your home smells that good there’s no need to head anywhere, for a little while anyway!

Every blog I’ll feature a blend that you can use in your diffuser. If you like you can click on the link and discover other ways to use this blend for things like massage oil, room sprays and lotions, the recipes are already calculated for you – just click on the image below.
